Waterside GRP Access Walkways

Getting from A to B around a busy harbour or dock is often easier via a raised GRP access walkway, gantry or footbridge – taking you over and around the main hazards – whether those might be cables, pipes, chains, gullies, ditches, streams or even vehicles.

Our waterside GRP access walkways, built using GRP Profiles, Anti-Slip GRP grating and GRP Handrails, will ensure navigation is quick and easy with access points wherever required.

DeckSafe GRP Walkways and Gantries are usually constructed using 38mm QuartzGrip^® Anti-Slip GRP Grating supported by GRP structural profiles. Staircases or Ladders can be added at each end or at mid-points providing access with self-closing safety gates and safety hoops where required. GRP Marine handrails come complete with kick plates to prevent items being dropped over the edge.

GRP Access Walkways weigh far less than their steel equivalents, making them ideal for on and offshore environments. They don’t need heavy lifting equipment to manoeuvre into position so are quicker and more economical to install. Once in place, the Glass Reinforced Plastic will never rust or rot, it is UV stable so won’t fade or need painting and is impact resistant so won’t get dented by knocks or dropped equipment, whatever gets thrown at it.
