For multi-floor machinery or control panels and maintenance hatches installed in hard-to-reach places, gaining access safely can be a challenge. Even machinery at floor level can have pipes and cables in front of it that create trip hazards for engineers that need to reach maintenance panels. We can design, supply and install a wide variety of GRP Stairs, Gantries and Access Platforms, ranging in size from simple threshold steps to more intricate high-level platforms that ensure operation and maintenance crews remain safe at all times.

Cost Savings

Our designers work with your basic site dimensions and, using the latest AutoCAD® technology, create a design to meet your exact requirements. All our GRP Access Platforms are manufactured from structural fibreglass pultruded profiles, which on a weight-for-weight basis are around 80% lighter than conventional steel profiles and around 30% lighter than aluminium profiles. This exceptional weight saving provides positive cost-saving benefits with thanks to easy installation.

Platforms can be accessed with stairs, ships ladders or cat ladders depending on the available space. Handrail, safety gates and machine guards can also be added to reduce the risk of accidents.

Non Slip Floors

We include 38mm open mesh grating in the design of all our fibreglass Stairs and Access Platforms which provides a safe, non-slip surface even in wet, icy or oily conditions. Stair treads are also fitted with integral, contrasting stair nosing for optimal slip resistance and to meet the Equality Act 2010 guidelines. Every maintenance platform we design and manufacture is corrosion and weather-resistant which means it requires minimal maintenance, even if it’s located outside. As with all our fabrications, platforms constructed to a minimum Safe Working Load of 5kN/m2.
