The security requirements that surround a visit to an airport – from small military sites to international travel hubs – mean that any access solution needs to be fast to install and require minimal maintenance to avoid future disruption to the services offered.

Lightweight & Low-maintenance

GRP fabrications are far lighter than steel equivalents and are designed to last for decades so installation is quick and economical. Our teams are familiar with air industry security protocols, are experienced at working within the restrictions they impose and appreciate the importance of getting site visits right first time and on time. We know that ‘popping back’ to finish something off is a huge inconvenience.

What’s more, because GRP is zero-maintenance, there won’t be any need for return visits to paint or repair treads or handrails. GRP does not rust, rot, warp or fade and it takes decades for the anti-slip treads and walkways to wear smooth.

Radio Silence

GRP is invisible to radio and radar systems so fabrications won’t disrupt signals. It’s often used to build masts and framework for antennae and transmitters.

If your site is offshore – a vessel or platform – we can also supply anti-slip GRP surfacing for helipads.
