QuartzGrip GRP Mini Mesh Grating has all the benefits that our Standard Mesh Grating has but with smaller holes (if you’re looking for even smaller, our Micro Mesh would be ideal). The 12mm x 12mm holes prevent small objects falling through and keeps pedestrians who may be walking underneath safe. This Mini Mesh grating complies with BS EN 14122 Category B standards and the European 15mm ball falling test requirements. This makes it perfect for use as pedestrian access ramps, catwalk grating or walkways. It is especially good for multi-level access platforms where objects falling through could land on the people below.
QuartzGrip GRP Mini Mesh Grating is commonly used in marinas and other outdoor leisure facilities. This is because the smaller holes makes it easier for small-wheeled vehicles such as prams, buggies, luggage, etc and industrial equipment.
Mini Mesh is also known as Marina Decking and this is because it has been successfully installed in both inland water and coastal environments. This includes access bridges, berthing stations, slipways, yacht harbours and many more. It is corrosion resistant and is impervious to both salt water and fresh water.
The gritted and non-slip surface of our QuartzGrip® GRP Mini Mesh Grating has been tested in accordance with BS 7976-2 (Coefficient of Friction Test). It provides exceptional traction on walkways subject to tidal inclines and is also moss and algae resistant.
